Gulf Oil Spill Crisis
How You Can Help
Specific to the Gulf Oil Spill, Ocean Embassy works directly under the umbrella of the Marine Mammal Conservancy and the U.S. National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration Unified Command.
If you are interested in donating your time or money to the rescue effort, please visit the Marine Mammal Conservancy for information on how you can help.
If you are not located near the Florida Keys, there is an extensive network of rescue and rehabilitation centers throughout the southeastern United States. Some of the organizations use volunteers and others do not. Contact the Marine Mammal Conservancy at info@marinemammalconservancy.org and they will direct you to the closest organization no matter what coastal state you are in.
For recent information on the spill and effected areas, visit the National Marine Fisheries Deepwater Horizon site.
Go BLUE to learn more or to join us in conserving our most precious resource – our oceans. Instead of being overwhelmed by the increasing number of strandings and beachings of hundreds of marine mammals around the world, we choose to roll up our sleeves and get to work.
